"Makayla further exemplified self-direction and creative problem solving in Choreography. Throughout the research, casting, coordination and facilitation of rehearsals, directions and performance process, Makayla remained deeply invested in her chosen topic, exhibiting both competence and professionalism. She worked collaboratively with her colleges on the production of the event, together creating a title, poster, and assisting with publicity and promotion. Not only did Makayla remain deeply engaged in her process, but she also “sold” her concept to her cast, and ultimately presented one of the most successful and well-received pieces of the evening. "
